I have been fighting with myself for a while about my feelings about the Vintage Stack neck pickup that I have had in my Telecaster for about a year. In some ways, I loved it, but i also didn't like it for a handful of reasons. I finally decided to go ahead and swap it out for a new pickup.

I chose the Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound as a replacement, so that I could get more versatility than the Vintage Stack, as I have a Vintage Stack in the bridge as well. While I swapped out the pickup, I also replaced all of the hardware on the guitar as it was all rusted out, and I was unable to properly set up the guitar.

The result was fantastic for me. You can hear in the video below, that the Quarter Pound has a much thicker, deeper tone, and that suits what I was looking for quite a bit. I am very happy with my choice to swap out the pickups.

I have had a Seymour Duncan Vintage Stack in the neck position of my Telecaster for a while now. I was looking for something to replace it with, and I came across the Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound in gold.
